With a strategic focus on rideshare, we provide our customers with straightforward, no-strings-attached access to vehicle ownership. But we aren't just about vehicle ownership. We're also fast-tracking the transition to green mobility, leading the way globally in reducing the carbon footprint of the transportation sector by transitioning our fleet to electric vehicles.

You'll be excited to work in this role if you...
  • Thrive working in a fast paced environment

  • Want warm leads only - no cold calling

  • Want a commission structure that rewards performance and results

About the role

We’re looking for a confident, customer-focused Sales Consultant to join our team based in our Melbourne Hub. This phone-based position will see you help customers choose the right vehicle subscription for rideshare driving. No cold calling — just real conversations and warm enquiries every day.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Consultant is a key business contributor whose primary role is to drive business growth via a customer and solution focused approach. This role will be responsible for handling sales enquiries and educating customers over the phone on Splends unique industry leading products and benefits, and progressing potential customers through the sales pipeline from enquiry to subscription.

What you'll be doing

  • Educate customers across our product suite and service offering and Splends points of difference
  • Use a consultative selling approach to understand customer needs and to recommend appropriate products
  • Manage an end-to-end sales pipeline, guiding customers through the full sales cycle from initial engagement to close
  • Educate customers on the benefits and potential earning and lifestyle that on-demand driving can offer and how we can support their journey
  • Help customers new to rideshare by booking them into our Splend Assist program and communicate the required documents to bring with them
  • Work closely with the operation and depot teams to ensure we are maximising all sales potentials and placing focus on specific products where required to meet stock demands and business goals
  • Maintain a high level of customer service in line with Splends values and passion for our customers
  •

What you’ll bring to Splend

  • At least 1 year of sales experience in a formal setting — automotive sales experience is a bonus, not a must
  • You know how to uncover what a customer really needs, then sell them on the benefits that matter
  • You're a natural closer who knows how to upsell and maximise every opportunity
  • You thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment (think 50–60 calls a day) and know how to manage a pipeline and CRM like a pro
  • You're a confident communicator and negotiator who builds genuine rapport with people from all walks of life
  • You're organised, customer-obsessed, and excited to grow with a high-growth scale-up — and you're happy to work alternate Saturdays (with a day off in lieu the following week)
  • Comfortable and able to work alternate Saturdays (with a day off in lieu the week following)

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
