Reports to: Head of School Sales & Partnerships

Location: Hybrid - Sydney CBD (2 days on-site)

Hours: 32hrs across a 4-day week (no salary sacrifice)

Are you a highly driven, results-oriented sales and account professional eager to make a significant impact in the education sector? 💪

As a Sales & Account Manager at Wonde, you'll play a pivotal role in driving growth through both new business acquisition and the strategic development of existing client relationships. This is an individual contributor role, meaning you'll directly own the entire customer lifecycle, from initial prospecting and product demonstrations, through to managing commercials and contracts, and then nurturing accounts for long-term success and growth. Your adaptability, professionalism, and ability to connect with diverse prospects and clients will be instrumental in achieving our exciting revenue and growth goals across the APAC region 🌱

What you’ll be doing: 

As a Sales & Account Manager, you'll be instrumental in both identifying and securing new business, and ensuring the ongoing success and expansion of client accounts within the dynamic ed-tech industry. Your responsibilities will include:

New Business Development:

➡️ Build and Nurture a Robust Sales Pipeline: Proactively build, manage, and nurture a strong pipeline, ensuring consistent engagement with prospects through targeted outbound calls, campaigns, and strategic outreach.

➡️ Identify New Business Leads: Research and network with key organisations and decision-makers to uncover and cultivate fresh business opportunities.

➡️ Deliver Compelling Pitches: Present persuasive sales pitches and presentations, clearly communicating the unique value of Wonde’s solutions.

Consultative Account Management:

➡️ Seamless Client Onboarding & Relationship Nurturing: Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new clients and then provide ongoing, consultative support to nurture long-term, successful relationships.

➡️ Understand Client Needs & Drive Growth: Proactively map out client touch points and engage regularly to understand their evolving needs, identify opportunities to deepen engagement, and introduce additional Wonde products and solutions that provide further value.

➡️ Strategic Account Planning: Develop and execute account plans to maximise client satisfaction, retention, and the strategic expansion of Wonde's footprint within existing accounts.

Product Expertise & Market Insights:

➡️ Become a Product Expert: Develop comprehensive expertise in all Wonde products and the broader education landscape to effectively articulate our value proposition.

➡️ Drive Value-Based Conversations: Utilise a consultative approach to highlight the strategic advantage of our solutions and how they contribute directly to customers' overall business goals.

➡️ Stay Ahead of Market Trends: Continuously monitor ed-tech industry trends, leveraging insights to identify new business opportunities and adapt sales strategies to maintain a competitive advantage.

Collaboration & Reporting:

➡️ Forge Internal Partnerships: Establish strong working relationships with our technical, product, and broader teams, leveraging their specialised knowledge to create powerful sales synergies and ensure client success.

➡️ Boost Brand Awareness: Attend industry trade shows and conferences to build Wonde's brand awareness and generate new leads.

➡️ Report on Progress: Prepare and deliver detailed reports on sales pipeline, new business opportunities, and account health, consistently striving to exceed targets.

Requirements

We're seeking a dynamic Sales & Account Manager who combines a hunter's drive with a farmer's dedication to client success. Here’s what you’ll bring:

  • A strong track record of success in both new business development and consultative account management (ideally 3-5 years of experience, though we value impact over tenure).
  • A proactive, adaptable approach with a strong ability to build genuine connections and engage effectively with diverse audiences, fostering long-term relationships.
  • Skilled in managing sales activities and opportunities within CRM platforms (Salesforce highly desirable), ensuring organised and efficient pipeline and account management.
  • Experience in SaaS sales and/or within the edtech sector is highly desirable.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions in a clear, compelling, and consultative manner.
  • Strong analytical thinking and a strategic mindset to identify market trends, understand client needs, and adapt strategies effectively for both new acquisitions and account growth.
  • Ambition and initiative to drive change in a fast-moving sector, consistently seeking out new opportunities and ways to add value.
  • A natural collaborator, working seamlessly with internal teams (technical, product, support) to achieve shared goals and ensure comprehensive client success.
  • A passion for driving results, focusing on both achieving revenue growth targets and building robust, lasting client partnerships.
