The RoleAspenTech is a leading supplier of software that optimizes process manufacturing – including oil and gas, petroleum, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and other industries that manufacture and produce products from a chemical process. With integrated aspenONE solutions, process manufacturers can implement best practices for optimizing their engineering, manufacturing and supply chain operations. As a result, AspenTech customers are better able to increase capacity, improve margins, reduce costs and become more energy efficient. In addition, the launch of the Asset Performance Management (APM) suite supports corporate reliability initiatives, taking an analytics-driven approach to asset availability. It combines deep process modeling expertise with real time big data to extend asset life and effectiveness. APM enables you to accurately predict and eliminate the root cause of all failures, so the only downtime you experience is the downtime you plan.
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing business within an assigned region and upselling consulting services directly to assigned customer accounts. You will work with cross-functional teams to formulate client strategies, manage clients and bring to closure strategic client opportunities. The right candidate will be focused on maximizing and increasing the value delivered by AspenTech solutions to our clients by selling AspenTech’s complete software portfolio and implementation services for such products comprising of world leading Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management solutions.
The role is based in Perth- work from home arrangement.

Your Impact

  • Manage Aspentech's accounts in engineering, manufacturing and supplier chain management software and services to targeted region in Australia
  • Manage the sales cycle from lead generation through close, including occasional post-close
  • Ensure consistent and on-plan revenue delivery through skilled lead identification /qualification and pipeline management
  • Develop new revenues
  • Ensure contribution to highest levels of prospect and customer satisfaction
  • Professional interaction with senior staffs of companies at both corporate and subsidiaries levels.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Business is necessary, master is preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years related process industrial software solution selling experience
  • Domain knowledge of petrochemical, oil & gas industries
  • A proven track record of consistent quota attainment or over achievement
  • Successful solution selling to major oil & gas, petrochemical firms, E&C and Energy Companies
  • Successful solution selling to major oil & gas or petrochemical firms and senior levels
  • Excellent presentation and demonstration skills to executives and individual contributors either in a group setting, one on one or over the phone
  • Ability to comprehend and articulate technical and legal jargon in easily understood terms
  • Travel within Australia is required
