Position Details

As we continue our transformation and growth journey in the region, we are looking to appoint a Safety Business Partner, Victoria to join our welcoming & experienced team in Tullamarine.

Reporting to the Director Safety and Compliance, Asia Pac and providing support to our Truganina, Dandenong South and Allansford facilities, the primary focus of your role will be to support a best practice safety culture by developing and implementing site specific target safety programmes, collecting and collating safety data and producing reports to support safety initiatives.

Below is a list of preferred technical requirements and desirable experience. Equally important is that you're a passionate advocate for compliance & safety optimisation and like to work in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key KPIs/deliverables include, but are not limited to:

  • Driving the Lineage Safety and Compliance risk management process in support of operational, transport, maintenance and CAPEX activities.

  • Developing and documenting procedures, safe systems of work, work method statements and job safety analyses. Supporting local administration of key Safety IT systems.

  • Incident management and investigation in liaison with key operations stakeholders.

  • Supporting development of Safety and Compliance training material and providing training and coaching to key stakeholders.

  • Monitoring compliance with legislation, workplace policies and procedures through conducting formal and informal internal audits, including audits of external contractors.

  • Building strong internal relationships to actively reinforce & promote best practice in safety.

  • Driving and delivering Safety improvement programs at a local and national level.

  • Driving and embedding Safety and Compliance Culture Programs.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

  • Extensive experience in a similar role, ideally within a logistics/supply chain environment

  • Qualifications in Safety, Auditing or other relevant disciplines

  • Good knowledge of the workplace, health & safety legislation, food safety practices and principles.

  • Good knowledge of CoR and quality management systems.

  • Experience in implementing safety procedures, product safety and quality standards in line with legislation.

  • Experience in conducting operational risk assessments.

  • Experience in supporting or conducting internal & external audits.

  • Accreditation in workplace training is highly desirable.
