What does this job involve? 

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Research Analyst to join our market leading research team in Melbourne 

As a key member of our national multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for: 

  • Tracking a range of property data variables that will cover office, industrial and retail markets including construction and sales and leasing transactions. 

  • Responsibility for collating and analysing data on your designated property markets. 

  • Identifying investment themes and trends. 

  • Report writing for subscriber clients, as well as for public facing research papers. 

  • Assisting our clients with their additional enquiries and research requirements. 

  • Working on and developing our Innovation Award winning GIS / Research project; GIS mapping and editing (training will be provided in ArcGIS and JLL’s Enterprise Analytics MapIT applications) 

  • Being part of a market leading property research team. 

  • Your analysis, and reports will be distributed domestically and offshore to leading real estate investors, financial institutions, the major banks and public authorities. 

 

What are we looking for? 

 

You are a team player with excellent inter-personal and communication skills, who is comfortable working with desk-top software packages (Word, Powerpoint and particularly Excel) and open to learning new software programs as required. You will be confident, positive, and very well organised.  

We are in the research and communications business - therefore punctuality, accuracy and professional presentation of outputs is essential. An interest in the financial and real estate industry and experience working with large sets of data is highly regarded but not essential. 

The role is open to undergraduates close to graduation, recent graduates and to applicants with a few years' experience. Training in, and knowledge of, the real estate sector is desirable but not essential. Qualifications in Property, Economics, Finance and other disciplines will be highly regarded.
