Working at Transurban is different; it’s a place where you can see the benefits of your work play out in real life, every day. We create city-sized solutions—building and operating safer, smarter, and more sustainable roads—to solve pressing transport challenges that are slowing cities down.
About the role
We're seeking a Release Analyst to coordinate critical release activities across our Tolling and Customer Platform initiatives.
You'll join an innovative team who standardizes deployment processes and ensures seamless transitions from development to production and support.
As our Release Analyst, you'll contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our cities and communities by ensuring our technology solutions meet quality standards and operational needs across Australia. It's meaningful, challenging and exciting work.
Day-to-day, you will be working closely with the team of Release Leads to:
- Coordinate deployment planning, testing, and execution activities including runbooks, staffing, communications, and governance under direction of the Release Manager
- Ensure all GLIDe deployments meet functional and non-functional requirements with proper testing sign-offs, operational readiness, and approved change management
- Plan, schedule and coordinate with execution of deployment rehearsals (Initial/Full-Dress) and report results to stakeholders
- Manage stakeholder expectations through effective communication of business impacts before and during deployment periods
- Lead Post Release Support activities including chairing meetings, providing communications, and resource planning
- Coordinate with Critical Incident Management teams for high priority incidents, ensuring adherence to Incident and Problem Management procedures
- Contribute to operational readiness by identifying areas of change, developing standard deliverables/checklists, and documenting/rectifying skill gaps
- Provide input to Project Implementation Reviews and Release Reviews to ensure learnings are incorporated into future initiatives
This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
- Experience in software development projects, with demonstrated experience in development and execution of release strategies for complex technology change projects
- Strong background in ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, and Change management, with particular emphasis on Critical Incident management preferred
- Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders, effectively communicating and influencing them to meet program objectives, especially during transition to BAU support
- Robust analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills with attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Atlassian tools
- Experience in operating within complex project environments including cross-functional delivery teams and package system implementations
If you meet some of these requirements, but not all, we encourage you to submit your application.
With a career at Transurban, you’ll enjoy a range of benefits, including:
- A range of flexible working and leave options, including the option to purchase an additional six weeks of leave each year
- 16 weeks paid parental leave (regardless of gender or carer status), with no waiting period, with Superannuation paid during unpaid leave as well
- Learning and development opportunities to support your career interests
- Health and wellbeing support—access to Headspace and our EAP program, wellness facilities, and more
- Share offers and insurance benefits
- Social activities, community give-back programs and paid volunteer days
We offer a range of flexible working and leave options, so you can balance your work and life commitments and interests. Have a conversation with us about how this could work for you.
We embrace diversity with a foundation of safety, wellbeing and inclusion; where everyone belongs. We treat everyone with fairness, consideration and respect, regardless of gender, gender identity, marital or family status, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity, religious beliefs, cultural or socio-economic background, perspective, and experience – whether they work for us or not.
