The opportunities

We are excited to be expanding our Commercial Banking (CB) footprint into Melbourne’s West. The Western Suburbs are the fastest growing region in Melbourne in terms of population, new infrastructure, commercial and residential development, and new businesses in a range of diversified industries.

The new business centre and Relationship Executive portfolios will allow us to deepen our existing relationships and harness our growth opportunities in the West across the full CB segment.

We are currently finalising plans for the new premises which will be ready later this year. The team will temporarily operate out of the CBD office in Docklands until the new premises are operational.

Do work that matters

You will provide meaningful solutions for a portfolio of diversified business clients with complex banking needs. Use your insights, experience and expertise, along with a great range of innovative products and services, to help move these businesses forward.

You will commence with an existing book of established clients with the expectation that in addition to providing excellent service to these clients, you will also focus on new client acquisition as well as identifying further opportunities for both new and existing clients.

See yourself in our team

Your team will include Relationship Executives, Account Managers & Analysts – all committed to delivering exceptional service and solutions to our clients to achieve long lasting relationships and sustainable business growth.

We aim to be the Main Financial Institution for two key types of businesses: those that turnover $15m-30m or have commercial lending requirements of $3m-$10m, and those that turnover $50m-$150m and borrowing needs of $30m-$50m. We currently have two roles available, each aligned with one of these segments. Delivering on a range of needs and requirements, including transactional banking, commercial lending, working capital finance, asset finance and risk management.

We’re interested in hearing from people who:

  • Pride themselves in building relationships through excellent service and driving new business;

  • Have experience in successfully building and leading a successful Commercial or Corporate portfolio, commercial lending anywhere between $3m-$50m;

  • Are highly skilled in driving deal execution with proven skills in origination, structuring and negotiation of complex solutions;

  • Use their network and referral partners to identify and pursue new to bank opportunities;

  • Thrive in collaborative environments to deliver a broad range of financial solutions;

  • Are comfortable in financial analysis and credit decisioning, understanding the underlying cash-flow drivers;

These opportunities would suit experienced Commercial Bankers looking to enhance their experience within complex, high value lending and to be part of a team who are on a growth trajectory.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
