Senior Legal Counsel – Drive Impact in a Leading Global MedTech CompanyYour Role: A Strategic Legal LeaderWe are seeking a highly skilled, commercially minded Senior Legal Counsel to join our dynamic legal team. As Regional Counsel, SSP, you’ll play a critical role in advising across multiple business units, solving complex legal challenges that significantly impact Stryker’s operations. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will navigate legal risks, influence strategic decisions, and drive innovative solutions in a fast-paced, highly regulated industry.What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to sales and commercial teams in Australia & New Zealand, covering government tenders, business development, financial solutions, and corporate transactions.
  • Shape legal strategy for high-value contracts, regulatory compliance, and risk management in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.
  • Lead negotiations for complex commercial agreements, ensuring business success while mitigating risks.
  • Monitor and advise on legal and regulatory developments, proactively driving actions to maintain compliance.
  • Influence at the highest levels—prepare board reports and provide legal insights to senior leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement in legal operations, from developing playbooks to conducting in-house training.
  • Mentor and lead junior legal professionals, fostering a high-performance team.

What You Bring:

  • 13+ years PQE with a strong foundation in corporate and commercial law, ideally in healthcare, MedTech, or regulated industries.
  • Expertise in corporate transactions, competition law, privacy, cybersecurity, and digital regulations.
  • A commercial mindset, with the ability to simplify legal complexities and offer practical, business-first solutions.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management—you build strong relationships and act as a trusted business partner.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed global organization, juggling competing priorities effectively.
  • Tech-savvy approach, embracing digital tools and innovative legal solutions.
