What You Will Do

Reporting directly to the Regional Channel Sales Manager - Oceania / SAARC (RSM), you will proactively and reactively engage with Distributor Principals (and others) to drive Distributor performance against Trimble benchmarks for selling Trimble Protection Plans (TPP).  At the direction of the RSM, you will focus on the day-to-day support of the distribution channel to deliver defined sales strategies and tactics with the end-result of achieving 100+% of assigned quota and incremental growth of TPP billings in the APAC region.  While this position has no direct reports, it requires a collaborative working relationship with Sales, Leadership, Sales Operations, Product Management, and Marketing to effectively implement strategic and tactical plans for a particular Distributor or region.

Your Primary Duties

  • Establish value-based relationships with Distributor Principals and other key staff within the distributor.

  • Deliver training and coaching to Distributor Principals and key staff on topics related to improving their recurring revenue services business by having a focused sales process in place for selling and renewing TPP.

  • Manage an expected level of overall sales performance improvement of the assigned Distributors by providing business expertise to Distributors and through engaging and leveraging Trimble Global Services resources.

  • Strong understanding of value-based consultative and solutions-based sales methodologies.

  • Demonstrated sales and account management experience.

  • Extensive knowledge of channel distribution sales and multi-tier re-seller business models.

  • Strong relationship building skills will be paramount for your success in this position.

  • Ability to understand customer needs and uncover creative solutions to resolve complex, difficult problems.

  • Ability to travel 25% is required as is a high degree of schedule flexibility to travel or work on weekends and evenings during peak periods or for key events.

  • Ability to use personal computer and software applications (e.g., Google Apps, MS Excel, etc) for analysis, reporting, and tracking.
