St John of God Frankston Hospital is leading private rehabilitation hospital providing programs for both inpatients and outpatients and in our state of the art facility in South East Melbourne. 

Our newly established palliative care unit provides exceptional, compassionate care to our patients and their families. 

We provide a diverse range of specialised rehabilitation programs for inpatients and outpatients. Our experienced and supportive specialists focus on promoting overall wellness and recovery to help you get back to doing what you love. 

About the role

We are seeking a Casual Administration Clerk to join the team at St John of God Frankston Rehabilitation Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient experiences while working in a dynamic healthcare environment.

In this varied position, you will provide professional reception and administrative support across a range of areas including outpatient services, medical reception, ward clerk functions, and hospital reception.

Your responsibilities will include coordinating patient admissions and discharges, managing outpatient appointments, supporting health fund billing processes, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of administrative services.

As a casual team member, you'll enjoy variety and flexibility, with shifts available between 8:00am and 6:00pm across different departments within the hospital. This role offers exposure to multiple areas of healthcare administration, making it ideal for a proactive and customer-focused professional who enjoys working with people and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Your skills and experience

You will bring recent experience in a clerical, administration, reception and/or switchboard environment, along with well-developed verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. A strong customer service focus, professional approach, and the ability to build positive relationships with patients, visitors and colleagues will be key to your success in this role.

We can offer you

  • Salary: $39.08 to $40.20 AUD per hour (Casual loading included)  plus 12% superannuation

  • Casual position avaliable
