As an Analyst within Rates Middle Office, you'll be responsible for understanding trading structures to accurately capture all transactions, complete reconciliation checks, and ensure controls are performed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Record all transactions promptly and accurately in the Risk Management Systems.
- Execute daily processes, including reconciliation checks, to ensure accurate processing of new trading activities and book management.
- Collaborate with Operations, Front Office, and infrastructure teams to foster a unified approach.
- Perform and sign off on all controls diligently and on schedule.
- Communicate clearly with support teams to resolve queries efficiently.
- Engage in strategic initiatives and continuously enhance processes and business architecture.
- Develop a thorough understanding of trading structures from both financial and operational perspectives.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Strong communication skills for collaboration, explanation, and appropriate challenge.
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic and high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication in both Japanese and English.
- Strong skills in problem-solving, control, and project management.
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience in Trade support or Middle office within Investment Banking.
- Knowledge of derivatives and hedging products, including Interest Rate Swaps, Basis Swaps, Cross Currency Swaps, FX, OIS, Bonds, and Futures.
