About the Role:As the Quality Control Manager, you will lead the quality function on-site, ensuring our products, materials, and processes meet Essity’s high standards and global frameworks. Reporting to the Site Manager and contributing as a key member of the site leadership team, your work will directly support production reliability, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a passion for continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do:Champion a safe working culture by integrating safety into all decisions and actions.
Manage and oversee all quality control (QC) activities, ensuring checks, reporting, and best‑practice QC methods are consistently applied.
Lead QC data analytics, statistical process control (SPC), and structured investigations to support data‑driven improvements.
Own and maintain the site Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, FSSC, TGA requirements, and Essity global audit frameworks.
Prepare for, support, and lead customer and regulatory audits, ensuring timely closure of findings.
Define and govern sampling plans (AQL & TAMU) for materials, in‑process checks, and finished goods.
Manage customer complaints and drive root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
Assess, develop, and qualify new and existing raw material suppliers, improving performance and reducing non‑conformance.
Lead and support quality‑related projects, including material and product trials, specification updates, and cost‑saving initiatives.
Collaborate across Production, Procurement, Planning, Maintenance, and Technical teams to support continuous improvement and business goals.
Provide leadership and direction to QC technicians, building capability and maintaining a high‑performing team.
You are an experienced Quality professional with the technical capability, problem‑solving mindset, and communication skills to influence quality outcomes across a manufacturing site. You take a proactive approach, prioritize safety and compliance, and collaborate effectively across teams to improve product quality and operational performance.
You will also bring:
A degree in Science or Engineering.
A minimum of five years’ experience in Quality Management within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of quality systems, materials, and processing.
Experience with ISO 9001 and FSSC requirements.
Experience leading QC data analytics, statistical process control (SPC), and structured investigations to support data‑driven improvements.
Experience managing customer complaints, root‑cause analysis (RCA), and corrective actions.
Experience working with suppliers, managing non‑conformance, and supporting supplier performance improvement.
Experience supporting continuous improvement activities, trials, and change management processes.
Six Sigma and Lean methodology experience.
Lead Auditor training.
Experience leading and developing small teams.
TGA experience (preferred but not essential, as training will be provided).
