What you’ll do 

The Quality Engineering Specialist serves to champion and ensure utilisation of best QE technologies and practices. You will be leading sub teams, monitor and report on test progress and overall quality. In this position, you will also be designing and executing test plans, manage defects and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful software releases.

This role requires candidates to have Australian citizenship with preference to those with security clearance or is in the process of obtaining one.

Key Responsibilities:

•      Developing detailed test plans and test cases based on business requirements, functional and detailed design documents

•      Executing tests to validate functionality, including regression testing to ensure new changes or enhancements do not negatively impact existing functionality

•      Creating and maintaining comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases and test results

•      Identifying, documenting and reporting defects found during testing

•      Managing defects through Test Management Tool (Azure DevOps),and proactively drive defects and blockers to resolution

•      Conducting tool analysis, making recommendations and selections

•      Utilising efficient and effective processes and standards to continuously improve quality

•      Participating in Code Reviews and Quality Gate definitions

•      Coordinating and collaborating with client teams for completion of integration and user acceptance testing

•      Identify and analyse suitable opportunities for test automation

•      Design and implement automation frameworks and approaches

•      Lead sub teams and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful software releases

•      Monitoring and reporting on test progress, results, and overall quality, providing insights for decision-making

Here’s what you need:

  • 4-5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
  • Experience with test case design, execution, and defect management
  • Basic understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Able to commit working onsite in client office for 4 days a week
