Job Description SummaryThe Projects General Manager APAC and ANZ Region, Onshore Wind International is a recognized expert in Onshore Wind Project Management. The GM will demonstrate the leadership and expertise necessary for Onshore Wind Projects management, including on time delivery and execution of the projects. The GM is responsible for delivering the wind turbines to customer project sites, installation, commissioning, achieving wind farm performance tests, and successfully handing over the assets to the customer execution. The GM is also responsible for the training and development of their project teams across the region, to ensure a robust and experienced execution team is in place to execute the backlog of projects.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Own and deliver financial business objectives per annual operating plan and global targets
- Develop and manage customer relationships by partnering with "C" level and working level customer teams
- Develop and execute Projects strategy, in alignment with the International Onshore Wind "Strategy to win"
- Drive execution and operational excellence on Project delivery commitments to customers and business
- Lead employees across the APAC & ANZ region, serving customers with the highest standards of Safety, Compliance and Integrity
- Partner with regional and international cross-functional leaders in developing competitive solutions and offerings to win higher share and margins in the market
- Develop talent and create succession pipeline as a business continuity and people retention lever
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or business from an accredited college or university, or a related discipline.
- Safety Leadership: Demonstrate a clear understanding that safety culture begins with leadership and shows operational leadership in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS). Experienced in facing the challenges of global site work and implementing effective safety programs.
- Projects Leadership Expertise: Proven operational capability in Projects / Project Management, preferably within the Energy sector, with strong financial acumen. Experienced in structuring and organizing projects—including Project Controls, Construction, and Contract Management—on a regional or international basis. Skilled in maintaining cost control, ensuring quality, and managing operations-oriented customer communications.
- Lead with Lean: Practical experience or strong interest in Lean methodology, continuous improvement, problem solving, and standardization of work. Demonstrated ability to drive Lean adoption throughout the organization, reduce non-quality costs, and achieve safety objectives. Capable of establishing operating rhythms for focus on critical business objectives.
- Regional Experience: Hands-on experience within the APAC and ANZ markets; competent in leading projects and teams across diverse geographies, cultures, and customer profiles.
