In a newly created role, we have an exciting contract opportunity for a Project Support Officer, where you will be supporting the program and leading the delivery a critical business transformation project. Your role includes (but not limited to), managing the overall project timeline, budget tracking and reporting. Having strong project communication, ensuring all milestones are on track and managing the go live readiness. In addition to this, you will own the testing phase for each wave of the project.
How you will contribute
You will:

  • Drive consistency and quality in the execution of the project using the appropriate project management methodology tools
  • Develop a basic understanding of the product, business processes and project milestones
  • Own and run project status meetings, ensuring timely meeting set up, meeting notes and follow ups with relevant stakeholders
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project-level risks and escalate them to the Program Lead
  • Build project reporting and status updates, status reports and weekly communications
  • Own the budget tracker and proactively flag risks and deviations.
  • Build strong working relationships with key stake holders across the business and external vendors
  • Build training guides, process documents and support Product Leads with trainings and change management initiatives
  • Own each testing element of the project, ensuring all requirements and timings are clearly communicated. In addition, you will support the test team with testing, ensuring pre-readiness of testing and follow up on defect management.


What you will bring

  • Experience in project management and understanding of various PM methodologies, in particular knowledge of MS Project and DevOps is desirable
  • Strong problem-solving skills and self-organisation
  • Team player and also the ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence others
  • Able to develop a basic level of technical understanding of the product, business processes, key milestones, and impact areas
  • Excellent project planning and proactiveness in identifying risks and mitigations
  • Experience working on projects in FMCG, digital Business transformation projects (client side) and / or work experience in HR / Payroll IT systems is desirable.


More about this role
What you need to know about this position:

  • This is a temporary fixed term role ending 24th Dec 2025 - with possibility of extension
  • Based in Ringwood however able to travel to our other sites (Dandenong, Scoresby & South Melbourne) ad hoc, as required
  • Ideally suited for candidates looking to break into FMCG sector, interested in project management or a junior technical project manager and looking to build their experience and skills as project manager.
  • 4 Days (part time) will be considered as well.
