Job Description

The purpose of this position is to lead the technical outcomes of our customer projects in the APAC region. While working predominantly with regional customers, this role will also involve working closely with the project team to provide customers with a consistent high-quality solution. You will ensure customer satisfaction, margin control, timeframe and quality goals are met. This role is responsible for ensuring our technical solutions are compliant and while meeting the contracted technical outcomes.

Our Project Delivery team is as passionate about our customers as they are about our products. They need to be deeply committed to ensuring that our products and customer support/technical support services assist in protecting and enhancing our customer’s brands.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Design

  • Produce detailed layout designs for small projects up to large turnkey projects by selecting best fit products
  • Produce machine layouts using 2D/3D models and drawings
  • Accurately record data relating to projects and ensure this aligns with the specification document and take action to resolve any outstanding questions
  • Provide engineering support in the delivery and commissioning phase of projects
  • Processing order entry for internal products
  • Specifying and ordering 3rd party equipment to integrate with our own equipment

Project Documentation

  • Understands total project documents required and coordinates and collates documentation to an excellent standard
  • Coordinates a Master project layout of each Product and Third Party Supply
  • Accurately record data relating to projects and ensure this aligns with the contract and take action to resolve any outstanding questions
  • Produce regular reporting on project process
  • Working with 3rd party equipment suppliers to correctly integrate with our own
  • Assisting with internal improvement projects, (e.g. Pre-Quote Questionnaire, Team Planner, Pricing Sheet updates etc.)

Relationship Management

  • Engages with the customer via email, phone and in-person, presenting a polite and professional manner and displaying commercial sensitivity to establish and maintain a strong and trusted relationship
  • Provides product support according to standard rules where appropriate including cost structuring, assembly, installation of the product and advice on minor customisations 

Solutions Engineering

  • Work with sales teams to prepare accurate system proposals and specifications for customer contracts
  • Validate assumptions and identify risks

Customer Project Design, Development & Execution

  • Design and engineer customer solutions to match the defined contracted specifications
  • Prepare solution demonstrations for customer functional acceptance test sign-off
  • Work to project budgets, timeframes and quality frameworks to achieve project goals
  • Identify, mitigate and manage project risks
  • Ensure compliance of each project is maintained and documented
  • Provide high quality project documentation


Qualifications

About you:

  • Tertiary qualification in an engineering related discipline
  • Ability to work in an open office environment as well as industrial customer worksites
  • 3–7 years’ experience in a technical projecting environment
  • Experience leading and working in project teams
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 40%
  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport and be able to travel
  • Ability to drive without restrictions in residency country
