Job Description

About the Role

Insight Data Solutions is a business within a business - using technology to drive efficiency and transparency around land valuations, leveraging new digital capabilities that will minimise bottlenecks and create process efficiencies in delivering valuations for Government entities e.g. council owned properties and land.

Through our unique mix of robust technology and comprehensive industry expertise, IDS enables governments, corporates and consumers to meet their property valuation needs.

As a Junior Project Manager, you'll play a key role in the improvement of Government services through innovation, as we create the national property platform for Government. Working with Product & Engineering teams, you'll drive the successful implementation of VM Online - our Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) software, to our clients from planning to delivery, and support an ongoing roadmap of upgrades and releases with the help of project and support teams.

Fixed Term contract until 14th May 2027.

Put simply, our Data Solutions division is a true market leader! This is a unique opportunity to join a unique "business within a business", in a very supportive and close-knit culture with a huge pipeline of interesting and varied projects on the horizon to look forward to.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive end-to-end delivery of our SaaS implementation roadmap upgrades for government clients - owning scope, timelines, budget and quality while keeping everyone aligned and informed.

  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering and PMO teams to deliver high-impact outcomes using our hybrid Agile and Waterfall delivery practices.

  • Act as a trusted client-facing advisor - building strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring each project delivers real business value and ROI.

  • Drive governance and reporting frameworks that give clarity and confidence to our PMO and Executive teams.

  • Identify, manage and mitigate risks, issues and change requests - keeping projects moving smoothly and transparently.

  • Track project performance, financials and success metrics - documenting milestones and ensuring benefits are realised in line with the business case.

  • Plan and coordinate release activities - managing cross-team dependencies, resolving challenges and communicating release impacts clearly.

  • Contribute to a high-performing, collaborative team culture - embedding best practice, encouraging engagement and helping shape the future of government property technology.

What’s In It For You

We're the right-sized business for you to make a real impact, with a workplace culture where you can be you. There's so many perks! Here's some of the favourites…

  • Hybrid working between home, office and visiting clients.

  • Wellbeing Leave and opportunity to buy additional Leave days.

  • Leadership development programs, LinkedIn Learning and more.

  • Regular social events including our famous Innovation Days.

Our Ideal Person

ESSENTIAL:

  • A Bachelors degree or equivalent from an accredited university or college.

  • Proficient in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Experiencing working closely with Product and Technical teams.

  • Experience with Waterfall, Agile and Lean methodologies.

  • Superior communication and relationship management skills.

  • Highly productive, with the ability to lead and work both independently and as a team member.

NICE TO HAVES:

  • Experience delivering to Government or large corporate clients.

  • Agile Scrum or similar Project Management certification (preferred).

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
