What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Project Director, Banking Products, the Project Manager is responsible for supporting high profile projects, work packages, and business analysis in support of CIBC's Day-to-Day Banking Products strategy. You will provide in-depth advice/consultation typically of a strategic, operational, or process-oriented nature to Banking Products and other stakeholder groups. You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of medium to large size projects/programs across Banking Products, assessing client needs and translating the needs into business requirements.

How you’ll succeed

  • Project Delivery Support the end to end delivery of priority Banking Product projects, processes, reporting, offers, work packages, campaigns, etc. that support our strategy. Lead and manage the People Change Management components of the project. Perform business analysis, document current and future state processes and create business requirements. Incorporate Agile concepts and practices where ever applicable. Support in test execution (Business/User Acceptance Testing) and post implementation validation and monitoring.  Ensure compliance with policies, standards, guidelines and controls.

  • Relationship Management Develop and manage internal relationships with Banking Products and other stakeholder groups to deliver strategically important projects within the approved budgets and timelines. Actively seek and evaluate opportunities to improve existing processes and work with key stakeholders to implement changes where appropriate.  Work with partners within CIBC on a cross functional basis to influence strategic direction and support Banking Products strategies.

  • Project Leadership – Performs a subject matter leadership role to Project Delivery on project related activities. Proactively identify risks to the project schedule and find ways to mitigate them. Monitor milestones; ensure they’re completed according to timelines and budgets. Execute a project plan that strikes the right balance between budget, time, and risk.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience. 1+ years of business project management experience. 2+ years of overall work experience in a project delivery, project management, and/or project coordination roles with hands-on experience in managing work-package and business partner collaboration for projects. Project management experience in financial services sector a strong asset.
