The Project Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of complex ICT projects and programs, ensuring effective governance, stakeholder engagement, and successful end-to-end project outcomes within a structured and agile delivery environment.

This is a 12 month contract role.


Requirements

What you'll do:

  • Lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of complex ICT projects and programs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executives and cross-agency partners.
  • Manage project governance, reporting, risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
  • Apply project management methodologies, including waterfall and hybrid agile, to support delivery.
  • Oversee project resources to ensure high performance and effective team coordination.
  • Identify, manage, and resolve project risks, issues, and delivery challenges.
  • Prepare and present clear project status reports, including risks and impacts, to governance forums.
  • Facilitate collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment and delivery of outcomes.
  • Use project management tools to manage scope, schedule, budget, procurement, and quality.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through lessons learned and post-implementation reviews.

What you'll bring:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering complex ICT projects within a Federal Government environment.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement experience, including working with executive-level stakeholders and external partners.
  • Proven experience applying both waterfall and hybrid agile project management methodologies.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience managing project governance, reporting, risk, and delivery frameworks.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams in complex delivery environments.
  • Strong understanding of ICT project lifecycle management, including financial and resource oversight.
  • Relevant project management qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Agile certifications) highly desirable.
