What’s on offer?

We are currently looking for a Project Engineer with experience in Line Marking projects to join our Civil Services team based in Campbelltown.  Reporting to the Department Manager, you will have full oversight on the project delivery of our line marking function, ensuring safety, cost, quality, and time targets are met; managing client, subcontractor and reporting to senior management on performance of your scope of works. Your day to day will include:


  • Logistics, coordination, and operation of our line marking function;
  • Coordination of line marking crews;
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining client liaisons;
  • Managing and co-coordinating supervisors, site engineers and sub-contractors across our line marking discipline;
  • Experience in pricing line marking works;
  • Knowledge and experience with line marking specifications and standard;
  • Managing line marking budgets and cost forecasts across the function to understand cost to complete;
  • Liaising with community, council and service authorities;
  • Programming and co-ordinating line marking works to completion by critical dates to meet planned occupation works;
  • Identifying and issuing variations and EOT’s to subcontractor’s original scope of works and analysis of costs;
  • Identifying design and constructability issues, and assist in providing the most efficient solution, taking into account interest of key stakeholders and the delivery team.

What You'll Bring

To succeed in this role, you will have a strong foundation in traffic and transport engineering within a local government or consultancy environment. You'll be a confident communicator who thrives in stakeholder-facing roles and is passionate about developing practical, community-focused solutions.

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree qualifications in Civil or Traffic Engineering
  • Proven experience in traffic planning, transport design, and the application of LATM principles
  • Sound knowledge of Austroads, Transport for NSW guidelines, and NSW Road Rules
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and negotiation
  • Confidence using relevant engineering software such as AutoCAD
  • Class C Driver's Licence (required)

Desirable:

  • Traffic Control accreditation - Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plans
  • Familiarity with council processes, local traffic committees, or development
