The Lift & Escalator Project Engineer is responsible for the planning, execution, and completion of vertical transportation projects, including both lifts (elevators) and escalators. The role involves managing site works, coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and delivering projects on time and within budget.Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Execution:
Lead and oversee the installation, replacement, or modernization of lift and escalator systems, from mobilization to handover.
• Site Management:
Supervise site activities, coordinate with main contractors, consultants, and sub-contractors. Conduct regular site inspections and resolve technical and coordination issues.
• Technical Review:
Review and interpret lift and escalator drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Provide input on layout planning and technical clarifications.
• Scheduling & Planning:
Develop and track project timelines and work schedules. Coordinate material deliveries, manpower deployment, and installation sequences.
• Safety & Compliance:
Enforce strict adherence to workplace safety and health (WSH) regulations and ensure all activities comply with local codes (e.g., BCA, MOM, LTA).
• Quality Control:
Ensure installation workmanship meets OEM standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct pre-testing checks and assist with T&C (Testing & Commissioning) procedures.
• Stakeholder Coordination:
Act as a key liaison with clients, consultants, authorities, and internal departments. Attend meetings and provide progress updates and technical clarifications.
• Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain site records, daily reports, method statements, risk assessments, as-built drawings, and project completion documentation.
