Working at Transurban is different; it’s a place where you can see the benefits of your work play out in real life, every day. We create city-sized solutions—building and operating safer, smarter, and more sustainable roads—to solve pressing transport challenges that are slowing cities down.
About the role
We’re seeking a Project Coordinator to support the delivery of some of our key People & Culture projects. Reporting directly to the Head of People Analytics and Compliance, you’ll work closely with Project Managers and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure payroll related projects are well-coordinated, on track and supported by robust project documentation and reporting.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in project environments, has excellent organisational and communication skills, and thrives on keeping complex initiatives running smoothly.
As our Project Coordinator you’ll contribute to lasting and positive changes that help shape the future of our cities and communities. It’s meaningful, challenging and exciting work.
Day-to-day, you will:
- Support the Project Manager to define and maintain People & Culture project timelines aligned to key milestones
- Coordinate project meetings and manage schedules, agendas and attendance
- Track project progress, risks, issues, actions and resourcing
- Produce weekly project status reports and monitor timelines
- Flag risks, issues or delays and support mitigation activities
- Maintain accurate project documents, registers and version control in line with company standards using SharePoint.
- Work in the payroll domain with people systems and worker data
- Support audits, reviews and adherence to internal project management methodologies
- Act as a central point of contact for project communications
- Liaise with project team members, leaders and occasional external vendors, as required
This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
- Experience coordinating projects or providing project administration support
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong documentation skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Project Management or a related field is desirable
- Experience using Jira and Confluence
- Previous exposure to people systems, payroll or HR environments will be highly regarded
If you meet some of these requirements, but not all, we encourage you to submit your application.
We offer a range of flexible working and leave options, so you can balance your work and life commitments and interests. Have a conversation with us about how this could work for you.
We embrace diversity with a foundation of safety, wellbeing and inclusion; where everyone belongs. We treat everyone with fairness, consideration and respect, regardless of gender, gender identity, marital or family status, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity, religious beliefs, cultural or socio-economic background, perspective, and experience – whether they work for us or not.
