Your next career opportunity
You will coordinate the FightMND-funded Resp-Ed project, developing respiratory education resources that uplift MND care nationwide. You will also support MRFF funded neuromuscular and spinal cord injury trials within the BEST Lab. In this role you build skills in clinical research, stakeholder engagement and implementation science.

What you will deliver:

  • Coordinate the FightMND-funded Resp-Ed project from planning through delivery, timelines, governance and reporting.

  • Liaise with multidisciplinary clinicians, partners and people with lived experience to co-design respiratory education resources. You don’t need respiratory expertise to excel in this role. You will be working alongside content experts to develop the resources.

  • Develop and maintain project documentation, ethics submissions, evaluation plans, workplans and meeting schedules.

  • Support coordination and delivery of BEST Lab clinical trials, including recruitment, assessments, interventions and data management.

  • Contribute to data analysis, reports, presentations and manuscripts that translate research findings into improved clinical practice.

You may be a great fit if you:

  • Hold a bachelor degree in allied health, health sciences or another relevant clinical discipline.

  • Maintain current AHPRA or equivalent professional registration, with experience as a practising allied health or nursing clinician.

  • Bring experience in project management, clinical trial coordination or clinical education, including planning and delivering complex activities.

  • Demonstrate face-to-face experience supporting people with disability in clinical or clinical research environments.

  • Apply sound analytical skills, data management experience and knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and research governance.

  • Communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders and manage competing priorities using strong organisation and time management skills.

At the Melbourne School of Health Sciences, you join the Breathing, Exercise and Sleep Therapies (BEST) group. The team is internationally recognised for neuromuscular respiratory and sleep research that changes clinical practice. Resp-Ed is a FightMND-funded project to improve the care of people with MND. It does this by upskilling multidisciplinary health professionals in MND-specific respiratory assessment and management.
