The Opportunity
ACCIONA'S Specialist Businesses, comprising ACCIONA Rail, Geotech, Australian Precast Solutions, and ACCIONA M&E provide integrated expertise for Australia's landmark infrastructure projects. With a robust pipeline of future projects, these specialised divisions deliver comprehensive solutions across rail, geotechnical engineering, precast concrete, and mechanical and electrical systems.
The Project Controls Advisor will be responsible for the successful delivery of ACCIONA system implementation within budgetary constraints while maximising profitability and minimising risks. The current systems include but are not limited to, Contract Valuation and Monthly Reporting, Cost and Revenue Management, Risk Assessments, Procurement and Contract Administration, Linkedsite Field Tools and Geospatial tracking.
This position requires a strong understanding of financial management, contract administration, project planning and cost control methodologies.
Key responsibilities:
- Support commercial, financial and delivery teams in preparing monthly cost reports from SEO for end of month reporting
- Understand the establishment of the CBS in SEO, Linked Office and Linked Site
- Review cost to date and accruals to understand accuracy and certainty of cost report and quantity information
- Assist in monitoring daily cost performance in Linkedsite activity diaries analysing key variances and changes
- Support the team with the development and in reviewing the monthly forecast performance in LinkedOffice detailed cost forecast back sheets, analysing key variances and changes
- Identify and assess project risks impacting time and cost in the LinkedOffice R&O register, and ensure a clear distinction between centralised R&O and in-code risk contingency held within the LinkedOffice forecast back sheets
- Assist in analysing and implementing project change requests, variations or rise & fall escalation adjustments.
- Support the assessment of change impacts on project scope, schedule, and budget, using the budget, cost planning process, LinkedSite actuals and LinkedOffice forecast back sheets
- Ensuring time and cost impacts are appropriately addressed. Support event capture in LinkedSite and manage in LinkedOffice upstream Head Contract Issues and downstream Supplier Issues
Required Skills and Competencies
- Tertiary Qualification in relevant discipline
- Proficiency in project control methodologies, such as scheduling, cost control, and earned value management.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Experience is system implementation and change management.
- Proficient in usage of Acciona systems - SEO, Linked Site and Linked office
- Proficiency in project management software, financial tools and Microsoft Office Suite
