What you'll achieveAs a PMO Lead you will lead, uplift, and embed best practice within a team of 7 Project Managers and 3 PMO admin/ eLearning capability. This leadership role is critical to driving delivery excellence, ensuring consistent governance, and strengthening capability across the project function.
The PMO Lead is responsible for overseeing the delivery performance of all project and program managers across the ANZ region within the Dedalus Healthcare business. The PMO Lead will also play a key role in building project delivery capability and driving successful customer outcomes.
You Will:
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of Project Managers delivering complex healthcare IT projects across the ANZ region, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Establish and oversee a fit-for-purpose PMO function aligned to PRINCE2 or equivalent methodologies, ensuring consistent governance and delivery standards across all projects.
- Design, implement, and maintain standardised delivery frameworks, tools, and reporting processes to drive transparency, operational efficiency, and successful project outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with governance gates, risk management protocols, and contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide end-to-end oversight of project health, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Champion continuous improvement by embedding lessons learned, root cause analysis, and best practice adoption into delivery processes.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to forecast resource needs and align delivery capacity with strategic and operational demand.
- Partner with Sales, Solutions, and Managed Services teams to support pre-sales activities, bid development, and resource planning.
- Proactively engage with internal and external stakeholders to resolve escalations, manage interdependencies, and align on priorities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer-centric delivery across the project management function.
- 10+ years' experience in project or program delivery, with at least 3 years in a PMO leadership or portfolio management role.
- Proven track record of leading complex, multi-stream programs ideally in the healthcare, software, or enterprise IT sectors.
- Strong background in applying structured project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, or PMBOK.
- Experience in building and scaling PMO functions in a matrixed, multi-disciplinary environment.
- Demonstrated capability in mentoring and developing project delivery talent and improving team performance.
- Experience working with executive-level stakeholders and influencing cross-functional teams.
Desirable Requirements
- PRINCE2, PMBOK, or equivalent project management certification.
- Agile or hybrid delivery experience is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of project tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms).
- Experience with TOGAF or related frameworks
- Analytical and outcome-focused, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Deep understanding of healthcare operational contexts is highly desirable.
