The Opportunity

As Project and Program Director, you will lead delivery of major infrastructure programs within a client-side environment. You will play a key role in influencing outcomes across the program and each project’s lifecycle by working collaboratively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

Success in this role will rely on your ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders including client and KBR team members, asset owners, construction partners, designers, vendors, regulators, and community representatives. You will navigate competing priorities and expectations to drive alignment, manage risk, budget and achieve successful program and project outcomes. You will also demonstrate an ability to think and act strategically. You will be able to identify and understand a business’ contexts and its emerging risks and opportunities and design appropriate action plans in response.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will be required to:

  • Build a team of high value and resilient talent
  • Encourage your direct reports to not only deliver their project and program responsibilities but also maintain client first and consultant mindsets
  • Build positive, trusting and effective relationships across a range of stakeholders
  • Advocate for KBR and build business opportunities for KBR by achieving high-performance outcomes and smart positioning
  • Build a culture of and directly contribute to innovation and continuous improvement. Follow a transparent and structured methodology to identify and implement improvements in ways of working that benefit individuals, teams, or the broader program
  • Ensure key projects and programs are delivered safely, on time and in accordance with cost, technical, environmental, operational, and social requirements.
  • Lead design development, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases across multiple concurrent projects or programs through a variety of contractual models.

Who are you?

To succeed in this opportunity the skills and experience required are:

  • Demonstrated experience as Project Director, Program Manager or Portfolio Manager
  • Track record of strategic leadership, anticipating needs and opportunities, proactively crafting appropriate responses and implementing data based decision making
  • Strong communication and reporting skills with experience working across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Understanding of various delivery/contractual models and legislative WHS requirements
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail in reporting
