Job Summary 

As the Product Specialist, you will be accountable for driving specific portfolio growth, ensuring successful customer technology adoption and being the technical escalation pathway for the related products and solutions. Building & maintaining customer satisfaction is one of your key drivers. 

You will act as the main coordinator between the different stakeholders: Sales & Services, Product Management, Product Development and Marketing highlighting product challenges and plans on overcoming these challenges: suggesting enhancements and adaptations for better marketability. 

You are ahead of the game, monitoring the business key performance indicators, and when quick action is required, you can gather the right representatives to determine solutions and ensure their execution. This role requires influential leadership, cross-team and organizational collaboration, excellent project management and communication skills and a passion for accelerating business success and impact. 

 

Main Responsibilities 

 

Act as local subject matter expert at customer sites on all aspects of the product and applications in support of sales and promotion of the product line. 

 

Responsible for driving & coordinating tactical activities to achieve the sales target for the assigned products in the assigned region. 

 

Be the sales key business partner to the business areas for product development & launch activities: 

  • Customer workflows & requirements 

  • Competitive landscape 

  • Market trends 

 

Lead internal stakeholders to provide first-in-class customer experience with the product and service to maximize market share and growth. 

 

Responsible for ensuring sales tools, demo/trial equipment and training are adequate to enable proper execution of the sales process. 

 

Serve as a resource to Sales for technical positioning & product presentation of the offer to support sales success.  

 

Collaborate on strategic sales projects with different stakeholders contributing to the technical background and positioning of the solution. 

 

Serve as training resource to ensure a high level of product knowledge is maintained throughout the Sales organization. 

 

Ensure voice-of-customer, product & market/field feedback/trends are provided to Product Management / Product Development & Services. 

 

Promote key messages of product line in project specific sales situations at customer sites, conferences or other channels: in bioprocess community through publications, presentations and participation in relevant industry organizations. 

 

Be the field lead for technical and quality escalations on the assigned products in the assigned region.  

 

 

Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Life science graduate or equivalent with a minimum 3 years of experience in the Biopharmaceutical industry  

  • Data-driven mindset with a high degree of business acumen 

  • Highly customer orientated 

  • Capable of building solid relationships cross-functionally, with a team player mentality  

  • Experience working collaboratively with sales to meet business goals, including experience with sales enablement tools and techniques.  

  • Ability to plan and deliver against hard deadlines, and manage several projects at once in an effective manner  

  • Clear, thoughtful communicator with strong listening, information gathering, and management skills for efficiently driving tactical plan deliverables  

  • Work independently, maintain strong attention to detail and can take calculated risks   

  • Experience with Salesforce.com is a plus 

  • Fluent in both spoken and written English   

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, customer facing role
