Hastings Deering (Australia) LtdWe are seeking an experienced and proactive sales focused Product Solutions Specialist to join our team. This is a key role within our Resource Industries division, focused on identifying, developing and securing parts and machine upgrade opportunities across our Dragline and Electric Rope Shovel (ERS) customer base. This is a permanent opportunity, open to applicants based in Mackay or Rockhampton.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and convert opportunities for parts sales and machine upgrades across the Dragline and ERS portfolio.
- Evaluate customer requirements and pain points to develop tailored solutions and sales strategies.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with existing customers to drive value and long-term engagement through mine site visits and in-person customer interactions. Proactively generate new leads through networking, referrals and outreach.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to align technical solutions with customer needs and business objectives.
- Support the development and execution of strategic growth plans aligned to targets and Caterpillar’s ongoing investment in Dragline support.
- Promote a strong safety culture by actively participating in safety initiatives and adhering to company policies.
- Foster collaboration, trust, and teamwork across teams to ensure shared success and a unified customer experience.
About You:
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum 5 years'+ experience in a customer-facing role within the mining or heavy equipment sectors
- Proven ability to build and sustain long-term customer relationships
- Familiarity with mining operations, particularly in Dragline and ERS equipment
- Intermediate understanding of Hastings Deering and Caterpillar support systems (or similar platforms)
- Strong product knowledge in parts and experience with prime product equipment
