As the Product Owner – Operations, you will lead the development and ongoing improvement of technology solutions for our airline's operations control centres. Acting as the link between operations, business stakeholders, and Technology teams, your focus is to ensure our digital tools support safety, efficiency, and on-time performance. You will be encouraged to think innovatively whilst developing and maintaining best practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading user requirements gathering and analysis, data and research, business analysis, evaluating and implementing innovative products and solutions.
- Drive product implementation by leveraging industry research, overseeing roadmap management, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Engage and collaborate with stakeholders across the Qantas Group, Vendors & Contractors to ensure that products meet performance expectations.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and engagement by facilitating effective communication between internal teams and vendors.
- Monitor and evaluate product progress and key performance indicators, analyse product performance and iterate on optimization strategies.
- Champion data-driven decision-making by leveraging data analytics and insights to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Ensure cross-functional alignment and stakeholder engagement to support the successful execution of the Operations Technology roadmap.
You’ll have:
- 2-3+ years of experience as a Product Owner role or relevant similar role.
- Strong understanding of product management, design, and analysis principles and experience working with a development team to deliver features on time.
- Proven experience with product development, roadmap creation and execution.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Confluence and Jira experience preferred.
- Experience with transformational, enterprise level projects.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment, fostering collaboration and effective teamwork among cross-functional teams.
- Strong drive, initiative, ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent project leadership, risk and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to various audiences.
- Proven interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills, critical for understanding and addressing the unique requirements of our diverse customer base.
