The role and it's impact:

In this role you will own the growth of our global payments products, specifically focussing on invoicing & payments for small businesses and their advisors across the entire lifecycle from launch through to cross sell, utilisation & retention. By bridging the gap between product development and the market, you will ensure that our initiatives translate into genuine customer value and reach the people who need them most.

The team & how they connect:

You will join a global product marketing team of four that operates as a bridge between product creation and customer experience. By collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and our regional go-to-market teams, you will ensure a unified approach to launching and growing our payments solutions.

Initially, you will focus on:

  • Developing and executing a comprehensive global go-to-market strategy that translates complex payment features into clear, customer-centric value propositions for our small business communities.

  • Driving product growth and adoption by analysing customer behaviour and market data to turn insights into actionable marketing initiatives that improve the user journey and long-term retention.

  • Leading the creation of in-product lifecycle communications and multi-channel messaging to ensure our customers understand and utilise the full power of our payments solutions at every stage of their business journey.

  • Partnering with product and strategy teams to conduct deep-dive research into customer pain points and the competitive landscape, helping to shape the future global roadmap for our payments ecosystem.

Where and how you can work:

We offer a flexible working environment that supports how you work best, including a mix of office-based boost days and remote work from home. Our offices are designed for collaboration, and as this is a global role, you will have the opportunity to connect with colleagues across different geographies.

Here are some of the things we are looking for:

  • You bring a proactive approach to your work, with a proven ability to turn complex market insights into decisive, impactful actions.

  • Your background includes experience in growth marketing, specifically focused on driving product adoption and lifecycle engagement.

  • You have developed a deep understanding of the payments landscape, which allows you to navigate the complexities of this specific sector.

  • Strategic thinking comes naturally to you, and you are comfortable working independently within a rapid and evolving environment.

  • You possess an exceptional ability to articulate compelling propositions in clear language, creating materials that truly resonate with customers.

  • You value collective success, showing up without an ego and possessing a genuine drive to roll up your sleeves and get things done.

Here at Xero, we hire based on your skills, passion, and the unique perspective you can bring to enhance our culture and team, so we encourage you to apply even if your experience isn't a perfect match!

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
