Company Description

What started in 2007 with a pizza and a plan has grown into a fast-moving SaaS company empowering manufacturers, distributors, and wholesalers to thrive in complex B2B commerce.

Our mission is simple: help businesses build stronger relationships through seamless digital commerce.

At Sana Commerce, we’re on a mission to revolutionize B2B e-commerce analytics, and we need a Product Manager - Data Value Services to lead the charge. Data is becoming the most strategic lever in B2B e-commerce. From predicting customer churn to enabling personalized buying experiences, data products will define the next decade of competitive advantage in our space.

Sana Commerce Insights (SCI) was our first step, a differentiated analytics product that unites ERP, online, and offline data. But we are only at the beginning. We are now investing in Data Value Services: reusable data capabilities and products that power intelligence across our platform, beyond SCI itself. That’s where you come in.

As Product Manager – Data Value Services, you will own the vision and roadmap for data at Sana. You will ensure our customers not only see what happened yesterday, but can anticipate tomorrow and act on it. You’ll also engage with customers, internal stakeholders, and technology partners to ensure SCI continuously delivers cutting-edge insights that drive business impact.

Why This Role is Special:

  • Strategic impact: You’ll shape the data platform that underpins customer retention, adoption, and revenue growth.
  • Platform-first thinking: Instead of one-off features, you’ll design primitives (e.g., churn scoring, personalization, segmentation) that multiple teams and journeys can reuse.
  • Cross-functional leadership: You’ll navigate a highly complex environment—balancing engineering constraints, privacy regulations, data fragmentation, and business priorities—while aligning GTM teams on value delivery.
  • Forward-looking analytics: You’ll push us from reporting into experimentation, behavioral modeling, and prescriptive insights.

Job Description

What you'll be doing:

  • Define and evolve the vision and strategy for data products at Sana, including, but not limited to, SCI.
  • Translate ambiguous business questions into scalable data services that drive measurable customer outcomes.
  • Partner closely with engineers, architects, and data scientists to shape pipelines, models, and APIs that power predictive and prescriptive use cases.
  • Collaborate with product teams across Sana to embed insights contextually into the webstore and admin experiences.
  • Lead prioritization and roadmap execution, balancing technical feasibility, data governance (GDPR, privacy), and business impact.
  • Partner with commercial stakeholders to link data value to adoption, upsell, and customer retention.
  • Establish clear success criteria, KPIs, MVPs, validation signals, for every initiative, ensuring we build for impact, not output.
  • Champion platformization: identifying where data services (scoring, segmentation, recommendations) can be abstracted and reused across customer journeys.

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience as a product manager or product owner in data, analytics, or ML-driven products.
  • Strong grasp of data architecture and limitations: pipelines, modeling, latency, privacy, identity resolution.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams (engineering, data science, design) through full product lifecycle—from vision through delivery.
  • Experience moving beyond dashboards toward predictive, prescriptive, and embedded analytics.
  • Working literacy in BI and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), with a bias toward abstraction and automation.
  • Familiarity with ML techniques (clustering, recommendation, classification) and their commercial applications.
  • High standards for data usability, governance, and trust.
  • A structured, strategic thinker who thrives on complexity and can simplify to drive business impact.

Additional Information

Why you’ll love working here

  • Career growth – Expand your technical and leadership scope in a company built for long-term success.

Our values

At Sana Commerce, our values drive everything we do:

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
