The role / impact
As a Product Manager within our mobile portfolio, you will take ownership of a clear problem space within the Xero Accounting App (XAA) to deliver meaningful value to our customers. You will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of your area, from initial discovery and definition through to delivery and ongoing optimisation, ensuring our mobile solutions make it faster and easier for small businesses to manage their business on the go.
Your work will directly contribute to XAA, mobile and Xero-wide strategic goals by leading a cross-functional squad to shape roadmaps and drive adoption. By translating vision into actionable outcomes, you will help build a cohesive experience that takes full advantage of native mobile capabilities while staying aligned with Xero’s broader product strategy.
The team / how they connect
You will join a collaborative team of five Product Managers within a broader group of ninety engineers, designers, and data specialists dedicated to evolving XAA as a core channel for customer workflows and automation. The team operates in cross-functional mobile pods, working closely with web, platform, and domain teams to ensure a reliable and seamless experience across all channels.
The team is currently working on / Initially, you will focus on
Shaping and delivering high-impact mobile workflows for key jobs-to-be-done such as banking, invoicing, or payments.
Utilizing a modern technical stack and experimenting with AI-powered features to enhance assistive and recommendation capabilities.
Leading lean discovery processes, including customer interviews and journey mapping, to define clear value propositions and hypotheses.
Driving engagement and retention outcomes through data-driven iterations, feature flags, and A/B testing.

This is a twelve-month fixed-term opportunity based in our Sydney or Melbourne offices, with flexibility for other Xero locations across Australia and New Zealand. Here are some of the things we are looking for
You bring experience in product management, having successfully iterated on digital products and shipped impactful features within a cross-functional environment.
A natural curiosity for customer behaviour defines your approach, allowing you to use qualitative and quantitative insights to frame complex problems into clear outcomes.
Your background includes working on native iOS or Android products, giving you a solid grasp of mobile conventions and device capabilities like OCR or notifications.
You possess the communication skills to lead through influence, bringing designers and engineers along on a journey with clear narratives and decisive prioritisation.
Managing multiple stakeholders comes easily to you, and you are comfortable operating with agility to balance technical feasibility with strategic impact.
You have a track record of using tools like Jira and Miro to maintain a transparent backlog and drive steady delivery cadences.
