The Opportunity
As part of the Value Management Chapter, and reporting to the Chapter Area & CoE Lead -Wealth Protection, this role contributes to the sustainability of the RLA portfolio. You’ll apply deep analytical skills to monitor retention outcomes, track key product performance metrics, and support product initiatives, collaborating with Product, Pricing, Data, Actuarial and Finance teams. This includes monitoring relevant internal and external trends and market developments which pose a sustainability risk, collaborating cross-functionally to devise innovative solutions.
This role offers an initial 6-month fixed term contract and embraces flexible working arrangements. You'll have the freedom to work remotely, with occasional office attendance required on an ad hoc basis, ensuring a harmonious balance between business needs and personal flexibility.
Your Story
You will support the Value Lead (Senior Actuary) to:
Execute work consistent with the domain strategy for product management and customer value across all products in Australia and New Zealand.
Utilise available data across the value chain, to analyse, identify trends and deliver insights, that can drive improvement in customer outcomes and portfolio sustainability.
Support the Value Management Chapter with initiatives such as portfolio health reviews, business plan execution and ad-hoc customer value analyses.
Build and maintain relationships across Product, Claims, Data, Actuarial, Pricing and Finance areas.
Your Profile
Qualified actuary preferably with experience in actuarial roles covering pricing, experience investigations and/or financial reporting.
Strong attention to detail, eager to learn and an effective communicator.
Recognises the critical drivers of portfolio value.
Understanding of customer and market dynamics and sales/retention drivers.
Knowledge of product value chain (claims, pricing, underwriting etc).
