This role is an Australia-based, fully work-from-home position, with access to co-working spaces in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Job Description

The Procurement Manager is responsible for the replenishment process for internal brands with a focus on acquisition of stock, materials and services at the best possible price and quality, ensuring a steady supply and managing supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor and Supplier Management:

  • Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with external vendors or suppliers to optimise product assortments, ensuring a diverse and competitive product offering for the respective category.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews to evaluate performance, quality, and compliance.
  • Conduct supplier assessments and select suppliers based on criteria such as price, quality, and reliability.
  • Create and manage purchase orders
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers promptly.

Strategy and Risk:

  • Contribute to procurement strategies to achieve cost savings, maximize quality and efficiencies.  
  • Report on key metrics such as cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement cycle times.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain.
  • Address supply chain disruptions to maintain continuous operations.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Deliver on individual and set departmental OKR and KPI’s as determined from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.  
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement, replenishment, supply chain management or a related role.  
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software such as Netstock, Cin7 or other related tools.  
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
