About the role
As Principal Consultant – SharePoint, you will lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of SharePoint solutions for Infoxchange clients. This senior role combines deep technical expertise with strategic consulting, project leadership, and a strong focus on customer outcomes. You will set standards for SharePoint delivery, oversee and build SharePoint implementations, and provide guidance across the project lifecycle - including presales, scoping, deployment and post-implementation support.
You will collaborate closely with clients, project managers, engineers, and other consultants to ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with best practices. You will also play a key role in mentoring team members, developing reusable assets, and shaping the future direction of Infoxchange’s SharePoint offering.
Consulting & Solution Design
- Lead the design and architecture of SharePoint solutions, ensuring alignment with client needs and industry best practices.
- Define and maintain standards for SharePoint delivery, including documentation, templates, and reusable assets.
- Scope, price, and construct proposals for SharePoint projects, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Provide expert advice to clients on SharePoint strategy, governance, and adoption.
Project Delivery
- Oversee and manage SharePoint implementations, acting as the primary point of contact for clients.
- Ensure project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes, escalating as appropriate.
Leadership & Mentoring
- Mentor and support team members, fostering knowledge sharing and capability development.
- Provide technical leadership and act as an escalation point for SharePoint-related issues.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve Infoxchange’s SharePoint offering, processes, and methodologies.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in the Microsoft 365 and SharePoint ecosystem.
- Contribute to the development of new service offerings and internal best practices.
Other
- Independently manage workload, balancing consulting, project, and operational responsibilities.
- Ensure utilisation and billable targets are met.
- Support presales activities, including client presentations and solution demonstrations.
About you
To succeed in this role at Infoxchange, you will have:
Qualifications and Specialist Expertise
· Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and supporting SharePoint Online solutions
· Deep understanding of Microsoft 365, SharePoint governance, security, and integration with other platforms.
· Experience implementing and advising on Microsoft 365 sensitivity labelling, data classification and information protection frameworks.
· Strong capability applying governance and compliance requirements across SharePoint environments to ensure secure access, appropriate data handling, and alignment with organisational Purview controls.
· Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Teamwork Administrator Associate, Solutions Architect).
· Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) and Teams integration.
· Experience working in or with the not-for-profit/community sector.
