Job DescriptionAbout the role
As Principal SEO Specialist, you'll define and execute SEO strategy for Jora's innovative job search platform, with Jora being one of the key brands operated within SEEK's portfolio. You'll directly contribute to SEEK Group's mission of delivering relevant job search experiences to millions of candidates across 12 countries. Reporting to the Head of SEO with dotted line to Head of Discovery Experience of Jora, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and marketing while working alongside SEEK's broader SEO team.
Responsibilities
- Define strategic direction and roadmap for Jora's SEO, driving endorsement of SEO imperatives at team, leadership, and executive levels
- Act as driving force behind SEO initiative delivery through collaboration with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders
- Monitor and report on SEO performance with actionable insights, designing data-driven testing frameworks to validate tactical hypotheses
- Provide technical SEO guidance for new product development and existing site optimization, focusing on accessibility, security, mobile, and site speed
- Upskill developers, QA specialists, and product managers on SEO best practices to integrate SEO performance into routine workflows
- Stay current with emerging SEO technologies and trends, applying them strategically to maintain competitive advantage
- Collaborate with marketing on SEM strategies and content campaign technical delivery for maximum search visibility
Skills and experience
- 5+ years direct experience in technical SEO solutions within enterprise-level marketplace or ecommerce environments
- 5+ years exposure to foundational concepts in full-stack web development, design, hosting, and application development
- Strong analytical capabilities with demonstrated experience analyzing large datasets, SQL proficiency, and dashboard creation skills
- Technical expertise to identify and resolve web technology performance issues (React, JS, Node) and diagnose site architecture problems
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with ability to engage diverse stakeholders and present executive-ready narratives
- Understand Cloud-based ingress solutions such as Cloudflare, edge-compute and how this can impact and benefit SEO
- Fundamental scripting skills in languages such as Python or R, with hands-on experience using notebooks for data exploration and analysis
