Product Marketing at Xero is in an exciting and high-growth phase. We work closely with Product and Customer teams across the business to bring a holistic view of customer needs to Product and translate product initiatives into tangible customer value. As the Principle Product Marketing Manager - Value Communications, you will play a pivotal role in showcasing the ongoing innovation and inherent value Xero delivers to its existing customers. You will be the champion for communicating the continuous evolution of our platform and ensuring customers are aware of and can leverage the latest advancements.
This role demands a strategic and creative individual with exceptional campaign management and communication skills, capable of weaving together multiple product releases into compelling narratives that resonate across various touch points.
What you'll do:
- Own and Evolve the Innovations Microsite: You will be the custodian of innovations.xero.com, transforming it into the central hub for all things Xero innovation. This includes: Developing and executing a dynamic quarterly "look back" campaign, each with a distinct theme and feel, brought to life through integrated campaigns across social, digital, and owned channels. Building and maintaining a clear and concise three-month forward-looking roadmap, providing transparency on upcoming developments
- Drive Value Communications to Existing Small Business Customers and their Advisors: You will be responsible for strategising and executing tailored loyalty-driven communications across key customer channels, including email, in-product messaging, and SMS, ensuring customers understand and adopt new features and enhancements
- Lead Integrated Campaigns: Leveraging your exemplary campaign management skills, you will conceptualise, plan, and execute impactful campaigns across social media, digital advertising, performance marketing initiatives, and below-the-line channels like email and in-product communications. You will work with regional teams to localise and amplify campaign content specifically for that region. You will develop internal briefing assets and internal sales enablement resources to help prepare and up skill internal teams.
- Craft Compelling Value Propositions: You will excel at developing clear and persuasive customer value propositions, both at an overarching narrative level (combining multiple releases) and for individual product updates, ensuring the benefits are clearly articulated and resonate with our existing customer base. You will collaborate with broader PMM team leveraging and contributing to internal artefacts
- Orchestrate Stakeholder Collaboration: You will be adept at managing external agencies and collaborating effectively with a wide array of internal stakeholders, including Product Marketers, Product Teams, the Customer Engagement Team, Data Team, Social Team, and Performance Marketing Team, to seamlessly bring campaigns to life
- Analyse and Optimise Performance: You will be responsible for rigorous campaign performance analysis, identifying key insights and metrics, and leveraging data to continuously improve the effectiveness and impact of future initiatives
- Drive Results with a Strong Work Ethic: You will demonstrate a proactive and results-oriented approach, taking ownership and ensuring deliverables are executed efficiently and effectively
What you'll bring with you:
- 8+ years of experience in a product marketing, marketing, or GTM role, ideally within a SaaS organisation
- Proven ability to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across social, digital, performance marketing, email, and in-product channels.
- Demonstrated experience in crafting compelling value propositions for both individual product releases and broader, overarching narratives
- Proven ability to effectively manage external agencies and collaborate with diverse internal teams, including product, marketing, customer engagement, and data teams
- Ability to analyse campaign performance data, identify key insights, and translate them into actionable recommendations
- Ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
- A strong work ethic with a proven ability to take initiative and drive projects to completion in an agile environment
- Ability to think strategically about the customer journey and translate those insights into effective tactical execution
