We’re seeking a Principal Data Consultant to lead high-impact engagements where analytics, insight, and enterprise data architecture converge, bringing trusted advisory capability, deep technical expertise, and delivery leadership to some of the most important transformation programs in market.
About the Role
We are seeking a Principal Data Consultant who can design, deliver, and scale advanced analytics and insight solutions in complex enterprise environments.
This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic advisory capability. You will lead high-impact engagements where data, analytics, and architecture intersect, helping organisations translate ambitious goals into secure, production-grade platforms and decisioning capabilities that drive real outcomes.
You will operate as both architect and trusted advisor, guiding executive stakeholders through the evolution of their analytics maturity while ensuring solutions align to secure-by-design principles, strong governance, and modern data management practices.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complexity, can lead multidisciplinary teams across data engineering, analytics, and platform architecture, and is motivated by solving important client problems with clarity, rigour, and commercial focus.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with senior executives to identify high-value opportunities for advanced analytics, reporting, and decision intelligence
- Translate strategic business objectives into scalable, secure data and analytics architectures
- Guide organisations through analytics transformation, managing governance, regulatory, risk, and compliance considerations
- Architect end-to-end analytics platforms, including data pipelines, semantic models, real-time analytics, forecasting, decision support, and insight delivery
- Lead the implementation of secure data and analytics systems across modern cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Embed security, privacy, and governance into architecture and delivery decisions from the outset
- Design resilient analytics ecosystems that support trusted decision-making, operational performance, and long-term scalability
- Lead complex transformation engagements from strategy through execution
- Mentor consultants, engineers, and client teams across multidisciplinary delivery environments
- Translate technical complexity into clear decision frameworks for executives and senior stakeholders
- Support the growth of Intelligen’s advanced analytics and insights capability through thought leadership, client engagement, and delivery excellence
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience delivering advanced analytics, insights, or data transformation solutions in enterprise environments
- Proven experience designing and implementing production-grade analytics solutions, with exposure to AI-enabled use cases where relevant
- Strong expertise across modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or similar ecosystems
- Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
- Demonstrated leadership in large consulting, advisory, or transformation engagements
- Strong ability to work with both executive stakeholders and highly technical teams
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity and guide decision-making at senior levels
- A mindset grounded in strategic thinking, delivery leadership, and measurable value creation
