Where the team fits in 

As Pricing and Performance Manager, you will work within our Analytics & Insights team across our Developer, Media and Commercial business units. Your mission is to help us reimagine the way we provide insights and pricing strategy, while supporting the day-to-day activities of the broader team.

 

What the role is all about 

  • Help develop multi-year strategic pricing plans that help achieve our financial targets

  • Provide recommendations & analysis on short-term tactical Product & Pricing initiatives to support the immediate business needs

  • Mentor Analysts / Senior Analysts and drive a high-performance culture

  • Work closely with the Product team to identify opportunities and risks associated with various mid-long-term product initiatives, and proactively develop optimisation or mitigation strategies

  • Develop simple to understand but detailed commercial models to understand the likely business impacts associated with initiatives including customer impacts and financial impacts

  • Manipulate & analyse complex data from a variety of sources using a variety of tools & techniques

  • Create ELT and Board level quality pricing strategy and commercial performance presentations

  • Collaborate with the Analytics, Product & Sales teams to understand our customer’s businesses, consumer’s needs and the marketplace; and use this knowledge in developing price points, pricing strategy & supporting go to market

  • Work closely with the Commercial Finance team to understand financial impacts to understand financial trends and impacts of pricing analysis on performance

  • Maintain a working knowledge of other business products & pricing architecture to effectively identify & consider impacts of initiatives across the group

  • Coach and build commercial acumen within the business, increasing the effectiveness of pricing & product initiatives through clear & simple articulation of price mechanics

  • Identify and keep abreast of digital product & pricing trends, identify implications and opportunities for REA

  • Build strong relationships across the business including Economics Team, journalists, data science and marketing team

Who we’re looking for 

  • Strong commercial experience in a product/pricing role

  • Strong skills in Excel & SQL

  • Experience in digital performance and listings models

  • 7+ years relevant industry experience

  • Proven track record in developing and delivering commercial business outcomes

  • First class communication – written, verbal and presenting skills

  • Confident in both formal and informal settings with the ability to relate to individuals across all level

  • Someone who is proactive, curious, a relationship builder and has strong influencing skills

  • Cross functional understanding and ability to collaborate in a complex, fast paced business
