Where the team fits in 

The Pricing and Performance team  sits within the Finance & Business Services Group, headed up by Janelle Hopkins our CFO. The Finance and Business Services Group, or FaBS as we like to call them, is the engine room of REA Group. The team is comprised of Finance, Risk, Workplace & Procurement, Pricing, Customer Collections, Payments, Group Reporting, Corporate Comms, Corporate Development and Investor Relations. 

 

As a Pricing & Performance Analyst, you will work with our Residential Advertising line of business. Your mission is to help us reimagine the way we develop pricing strategy, commercial insights and performance reporting while supporting the day-to-day activities of the broader team. 

 

What the role is all about 

  • Help develop multi-year strategic pricing plans that help achieve our financial targets 

  • Provide recommendations & analysis on short-term tactical Product & Pricing initiatives to support the immediate business needs 

  • Work closely with the Product team to identify opportunities and risks associated with various mid-long-term product initiatives, and proactively develop optimisation or mitigation strategies 

  • Develop simple to understand but detailed commercial models to understand the likely business impacts associated with initiatives including customer impacts and financial impacts 

  • Manipulate & analyse complex data from a variety of sources using a variety of tools & techniques 

  • Collaborate with the Analytics, Product & Sales teams to understand our customer’s businesses, consumer’s needs and the marketplace; and use this knowledge in developing price points, pricing strategy & supporting go to market 

  • Work alongside the Analytics team to lead the creation of dashboards for key product KPIs 

  • Work closely with the Commercial Finance team to understand financial impacts to understand financial trends and impacts of pricing analysis on performance 

  • Maintain a working knowledge of other business products & pricing architecture to effectively identify & consider impacts of initiatives across the group 

  • Keep abreast of digital product & pricing trends, identify implications and opportunities for REA 

 

Who we’re looking for 

  • Great commercial acumen 

  • Excellent skills in Excel and financial modeling  

  • Experience within SQL, Big Query and Tableau is desirable  

  • A proven track record in developing and delivering commercial business outcomes 

  • First class communication – written, verbal and presenting skills 

  • Confidence in both formal and informal settings with the ability to relate to individuals across all levels 

  • A proactive and curious approach: a relationship builder who has strong influencing skills 

  • The ability to collaborate in a complex, fast paced business
