The Role
Due to continuous growth, we are looking for a Presales Solution Engineer to join our team.
The Presales Solution Engineer is responsible for sales support and solution design of blueAPACHE’s services solution portfolio and key vendor partners.
This role would suit a delivery engineer who is well versed in how to do migrations, but would like to be a little more “off the tools”. Perhaps someone who is more passionate about problem solving and solution design than the actual implementation itself. It would also befit someone who is in a technical role who would like to dip their toe in the commercial space to see if it suits them.
This role will be based in Melbourne, VIC and will require 4 days onsite/in the office and 1 day WFH.
- Provide technical sales support and subject matter expertise across the blueAPACHE Reference Architecture. This would mean a solid understanding in as many of the following topics as possible (note: some knowledge gaps are ok – we can train you!):
- Microsoft 365 (Required)
- Microsoft Windows Server and associated applications / services
- Virtualisation (VMWare, HyperV, etc)
- Next Generation Firewalls (from vendors such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc)
- SD-WAN (Fortinet preferred, but other vendors highly regarded)
- Wide Area Networking (Routers, WAN Services, etc)
- Local Area Networking (Switching, WIFI, etc)
- Public Cloud (Azure, AWS, etc)
- Cybersecurity (Cyberark, Rapid7, etc)
- Provide the Sales Team with support services from lead qualification, solution design, BoM/SoW creation and hand-off to the Delivery team
- Providing technical and functional direction and input during the sales cycle
- Drive key customer meetings and workshops to achieve the outcomes within both customer and blueAPACHE deadlines
- Assist with RFP responses, creation of Scopes of Work, Bills of Material and other related documents
- Prepare and perform product demonstrations to business and technical audiences
- Assist in developing project delivery plans
- Keep relevant technical / market knowledge up to date
- Maintain technical sales certifications across key vendor partners (such as HPE, Aruba, Fortinet, Microsoft, Citrix, Palo Alto, Trend Micro, Veeam and Rapid 7)
- Collaborate internally with Subject Matter Experts and Professional Services teams to ensure an accurate solution is designed, and that the solution is delivered to that design
- Lead Proof of Concept engagements to show the functional solution that supports the strategic value and delivers a ROI
- Work with the BDM Team developing campaigns and sales plans
