Job Description:

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Premium & Credit Officer to join our team. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate premium calculations, timely payments, and high-quality customer service, while supporting compliance with WorkSafe legislative and policy requirements.
 

This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in the WorkCover industry who enjoys working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and is passionate about delivering accurate outcomes.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage an allocated portfolio to ensure premiums are calculated accurately and collected on time

  • Process new business applications in line with WorkSafe guidelines

  • Respond to internal and external stakeholder queries within agreed service standards

  • Maintain accurate data entry and certification records

  • Ensure compliance with legislative, audit, and policy requirements

  • Monitor and meet performance and policy targets

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and training programs

  • Support debt collection activities in line with business processes
     

About You

You will be a proactive and detail-oriented professional with the ability to manage competing priorities while delivering excellent customer service.
 

To be successful, you will have:

  • 3–4 years’ experience in the WorkCover / Workers Compensation industry

  • Strong knowledge of the Premiums Act, Premiums Order, and premium calculation processes

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage a portfolio autonomously

  • Solid Microsoft Office skills (Word & Excel)

  • Experience using WorkSafe systems such as ACCtion and VPCS (highly regarded)

  • A strong commitment to compliance, privacy, and workplace safety
