About You

You are a seasoned communications consultant, trusted advisor and respected by your teams. As a PR Account Director you lead earned and integrated communications programs for some of the world’s most exciting B2B and B2C technology brands like Shopify, Mailchimp, Jabra and Ericsson.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing senior strategic counsel across complex, multi-stakeholder PR accounts, leading high-performing teams, and ensuring excellence in the planning and execution of integrated campaigns across media relations, thought leadership and content development. You’ll bring strong knowledge of the Australian media landscape, a clear understanding of what drives local news and relevance, and the ability to develop sharp, effective communications plans. You are commercially aware, solutions-focused and confident in building strong long-term client relationships.

What You Do

  • You serve as the strategic lead and senior advisor to clients, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.

  • You lead the development and execution of integrated communications strategies ensuring alignment with client business objectives.

  • You oversee multiple account teams, ensuring high quality delivery, strong team performance across your portfolio and operational discipline.

  • You actively drive organic growth within your portfolio and actively contribute to new business development including pitch leadership and proposal strategy.

  • You mentor and coach senior team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance.

  • You stay ahead of industry trends and translate insight into innovative thinking that strengthens client strategies.

  • You manage complex stakeholder environments and act as an escalation point for client issues, ensuring swift resolution and long-term relationship stability.

What You Offer

  • At least 6-8 years of agency or in-house experience in communications consulting, preferably with a strong track record in corporate and technology sectors.

  • A collaborative mindset and proactive mindset with a strong ability to inspire confidence in both clients' and teams.

  • Proven experience leading senior client relationships and manage large, complex accounts and campaigns

  • Deep understanding of the Australian media landscape with strong relationships and a strategic approach to earned media.

  • A mindset rooted in curiosity and continuous improvement – you ask great questions and seek smarter ways of working.

  • Not essential, but advantageous: an established network within the Australian technology and corporate landscape, with experience using relationships to help uncover new opportunities.
