Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Physical Security Evaluator to join our Physical Security Assessments team supporting semiconductor manufacturing operations in APAC.
- This position is responsible for conducting comprehensive physical security evaluations of semiconductor critical manufacturing locations. You will join a team of expert security professionals responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of physical security programs, including people, processes, technology, and protective measures.
- You will identify and document security vulnerabilities, assess risks to critical manufacturing operations and intellectual property, and provide recommendations to strengthen the security posture of our facilities. This role is responsible for developing detailed assessment reports and partnering with site leadership to implement corrective actions.
- As a Physical Security Assessment Evaluator, you will work closely with Manufacturing Operations, Facilities, Corporate Security, and technology teams to ensure physical security standards are consistently implemented across semiconductor operations.
- The successful candidate must be comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels, applying physical security principles to high-value semiconductor manufacturing environments. Significant APAC travel is required to support facility assessments, supplier reviews, and security program evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct physical security evaluations of semiconductor fabrication facilities.
- Assess the effectiveness of physical security controls including perimeter protection, access control systems, CCTV surveillance, intrusion detection systems, guard force operations, visitor management, and emergency response programs.
- Identify security vulnerabilities that could impact personnel safety, manufacturing continuity, intellectual property protection, or critical assets.
- Document findings and develop comprehensive security assessment reports with actionable recommendations.
- Partner directly with manufacturing and site security teams to implement mitigation strategies and corrective actions.
- Evaluate compliance with corporate physical security standards, customer requirements, and industry guidelines.
- Review and assess security implications of new facility develop, manufacturing expansions, and operational changes.
- Evaluate emerging security technologies and recommend solutions to improve the protection of manufacturing facilities and critical assets.
- Support supplier and contractor security assessments where manufacturing or intellectual property risks exist.
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement physical security policies, standards, and assessment methodologies.
- Provide regular updates to leadership regarding security risks, mitigation efforts, and program effectiveness.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, threat intelligence, and best practices related to semiconductor security and critical infrastructure protection.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Engineering, Risk Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in physical security, security assessments, or security program management.
- Minimum 5 years of experience conducting physical security reviews or assessments of industrial, critical infrastructure, or manufacturing facilities.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with access control, intrusion detection, security monitoring systems, and CCTV surveillance technologies.
- Prior experience within the semiconductor industry is required.
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing environments, including fabs, cleanrooms, assembly and test operations, and high-value asset protection.
- Ability to travel up to 50% in APAC!
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of physical security experience in semiconductor manufacturing, high-tech manufacturing, or critical infrastructure environments.
- Experience protecting intellectual property, sensitive technology, and classified manufacturing processes.
- Experience conducting supplier, contractor, and third-party security assessments.
- Deep understanding of physical security principles and industry best practices, with expertise in access control systems, intrusion detection, CCTV surveillance, security operations centers, incident response and investigations, and guard force management.
- Understanding of semiconductor industry security requirements and customer compliance expectations.
- Experience working with executive leadership and cross-functional team members.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical, operational, and executive audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and deliver high-quality assessment reports.
