This role provides the opportunity to work at the intersection of people operations, employee relations and strategic project delivery within a global technology organisation focused on public value. The work is varied, meaningful and grounded in strong professional standards, with direct exposure to operational decision‑making and employee relations case management across the APAC region.

The People Operations & ER Advisor role enables you to operate as a trusted partner to managers, providing coaching and guidance through employee lifecycle and employee relations matters while maintaining a clear focus on consistency, compliance and experience. The role offers scope to influence processes, contribute to global policy alignment, and use people data to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

What you will need to be successful in this role

  • Demonstrated experience in people operations, employee relations or advisory‑based HR roles
  • Proven ability to apply employment legislation in practical and commercially sound contexts
  • Experience independently managing low to medium risk employee relations cases
  • Strong understanding of the end‑to‑end employee lifecycle
  • Confidence operating as a trusted advisor to stakeholders and people leaders
  • Experience working in volume‑based or operational HR environments
  • Ability to analyse people operations and ER data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities
  • Strong judgement, discretion and attention to detail when handling sensitive information
  • Experience supporting or delivering HR or people‑related projects
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes to agreed timeframes
  • Working knowledge of regional people policies and practices within Australia
  • Qualifications in Human Resource Management or a related discipline (preferred)
