About the Role

As a People & Culture Advisor, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting our people, leaders, and People & Culture (P&C) Business Partners to drive a high-performing, engaged, and thriving team culture. No two days are the same – you’ll be the go-to advisor for Team Leaders, a key player in employee engagement initiatives, and a champion for HR best practices that make ROLLER an amazing place to work.

This is a hybrid role, requiring regular presence in our Melbourne office to support our growing Melbourne-based team.

What You'll Do

  • Be a Trusted Advisor: Provide first-line HR guidance to Team Leaders and managers across performance management, engagement, and development.
  • Partner with Purpose: Collaborate with the P&C BP to align HR programs with business goals and build leadership capability across the business.
  • Champion Employee Relations: Support employee relations cases with sound advice and documentation, promoting a fair and positive workplace.
  • Drive Performance & Development: Help run performance reviews, analyse trends, and identify development opportunities and succession planning insights.
  • Support Change & Growth: Assist with organisational change, including restructures and culture-building initiatives, ensuring people are informed and engaged.
  • Ensure Compliance & Minimise Risk: Maintain up-to-date policies in line with Australian employment law and company standards.
  • Deliver Data-Driven Insights: Collect, analyse, and report on people metrics to help shape strategic HR decisions.

About You

  • You’ve got hands-on HR generalist experience, ideally in a fast-paced, global or scaling tech environment.
  • You’re confident advising leaders on people matters and coaching them through performance and development conversations.
  • You understand Australian employment law and can navigate sensitive employee relations issues with empathy and discretion.
  • You’re a clear communicator, organised, and action-oriented – someone who thrives in a collaborative, dynamic team.
  • You genuinely care about creating great experiences for employees and believe in the power of culture to drive business success.

Perks!

  • You'll get to work on a category-leading product that customers love in a fun, high-growth industry! Check our Capterra and G2 reviews.
  • 4 ROLLER Recharge days per year (that is 4 additional days of leave that we all take off together as a team to rest and recuperate)
  • Engage in our 'Vibe Tribe' - led by our team members; you can contribute to company-wide initiatives directly. Regular events and social activities, fundraising & cause-related campaigns...you name it. We're willing to make it happen!
  • Team Member Assistance Program to proactively support our team's health and wellbeing - access to coaching, education modules, weekly webinars, and more.
  • 16 weeks paid Parental Leave for primary carers and 4 weeks paid Parental Leave for secondary carers.
  • Work with a driven, fun, and switched-on team that likes to raise the bar in all we do!
  • Individual learning & development budget plus genuine career growth opportunities as we continue to expand!

What You Can Expect

You'll have an initial call with our Talent Acquisition Manager to chat through some of your experience to date, salary expectations and you can check off any initial questions you might have.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
