Our Energetic Team: 

Energy Vault Solutions, a division within Energy Vault, is dedicated to delivering customer-focused energy storage products that merge Battery and Clean Hydrogen technologies. The Energy Vault Solutions team also develops and manages our AI/ML powered software applications that include EMS, Lifecycle Management, and Energy Trading Platforms.


Your Impact as a PCS Control Engineer - APAC: 

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on PCS Control Engineer – Energy Storage Systems (ESS) to join our team. As our perfect candidate for the role, you will provide leadership with our product development and project delivery by establishing processes and creating technical documents. As we rapidly grow and deliver several projects simultaneously globally, you will help document and build scalable processes, technical solutions, and products. 

Your Mission:

  • Lead the PCS and Power Plant Controller (PPC) implementation, validation tests and troubleshooting of the battery storage system. This includes but is not limited to: 
  • Work with PCS vendors and customers to determine system requirements and verify our solution will meet and exceed our customer’s expectations 
  • Perform in-depth evaluation of the implemented control system as per project requirements 
  • Prepare and maintain PCS solution technical documents such as all technical design philosophy, calculations, datasheets, diagrams, and layouts 

Your Background:

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with focus on Power systems and Power Electronics 
  • Deep technical knowledge of grid-forming inverters acquired from either research or field experience 
  • Knowledge of battery energy storage or utility scale solar grid integration 
  • Experience working on PSCAD, PSS/E and other power system modeling software 
  • Experience with IEC 61131-3 programming, preferably Simatic S7 PLC series 
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing 
  • Familiarity with relevant industry and standards such as UL 1741 SA, IEEE 1547, IEEE 2800, and ISO requirements 
  • Comfortable thriving in fast-paced, rapid growth environments. 
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 20%
