Where the team fits in

As a Payroll Assistant, you’ll assist in all aspects of payroll from processing pay runs to answering employee queries. You’ll partner with a wide a range of key stakeholders from our employees themselves, Finance & Risk partners and the broader People & Culture function.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to commence a career in Payroll or HR.

What The Role Is All About

  • Work closely with rest of Payroll team to assist with monthly payroll process, ensuring correctness, eligibility, and timeliness of payments

  • Assist with processing of superannuation, redundancy calculations, payroll tax etc

  • Engage with employees at all levels and answer queries in a clear and accurate manner

  • Assist in reviewing current payroll practices, determining what efficiencies can be made, if any

  • Assist with reporting where required

Who We’re Looking For

  • 6+ months experience in Payroll or HR ideal but not necessary

  • Enthusiasm to learn and a passion for numbers

  • Payroll compliance knowledge, including sound employment tax and industrial relation knowledge

  • Intermediate Excel skills advantageous but not necessary

  • General problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
