Payment Risk Operations Analyst

In order to build a sustainable business, we, as a financial institution, need to know at all times what our customers are up to and whether this is in line with payment regulations and our risk appetite. The Card Scheme Operations team is responsible for ensuring that our merchants are compliant with these regulations.

As a Card Scheme Operations Analyst, you will support the team in ensuring our merchants comply with payment regulations and that they are aligned with our risk management strategies. You will need to work closely with different teams globally such as Compliance, Sales, Account Management, Partnerships team and Product. 

What you’ll do

  • Fostering Essential Connections: Maintain strong connections with compliance and operational teams internally and externally across the APAC region. 
  • Risk Management Support: Support the implementation of risk management processes by collaborating on initiatives within the Card Scheme Operations Team.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify and implement process improvements that advances the team’s efficiency.
  • Stay updated on the latest Card Network and Local Payment Method requirements specific to the APAC Region as well as Adyen’s product expansions. Use this to inform the operational strategy of the Card Scheme Operations team in APAC. 
  • Ensure that work streams across multiple internal teams are aligned on priorities and timelines.  
  • Partner with peers in Card Scheme Operations and other functional areas (acquiring, products, sales, partnerships, compliance) and across global regional teams to contribute to projects in ways that leverage the breadth and depth of Adyen’s resources. 

Who you are

  • Professional Experience: 4 years of professional experience preferably within payments, fintech or financial services, specific experience with Card Schemes is highly welcomed.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate ideas and information to various internal teams and are comfortable in engaging with different stakeholders. 
  • Collaborative: The ability to work effectively within a team, contributing to shared goals and collaborating with a diverse array of internal and external shareholders and merchants across various regions.
  • Prioritise Effectively: Capable of managing competing priorities and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Problem Solving Acumen: Able to exercise sound judgment and adapt quickly to changing circumstances, swiftly resolving issues as they arise.
  • Analytical Thinking: Able to analyse information and data to support decision-making and identify opportunities for product and process improvement.
  • Project Management: Capable of supporting Risk & Compliance projects and driving the operationalisation of new risk programs.
