Build your career and Australia’s future.

Not many people can say they are working on building Australia’s future. With us you’ll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there’s equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.

We have an exciting opportunity at nbn, as a Payment Assurance Lead reporting to Service Delivery Manager.

A bit about your role

The Payment Assurance Lead plays a key role within Commercial Assurance Services (CAS), which aims to ensure accurate and efficient network build and operating costs through streamlined operations and formal service models.

The role is responsible for reviewing and validating claims from delivery partners, conducting post-claim desktop audits, and identifying non-compliances and cost recovery opportunities. It involves analysing trends, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring timely and accurate payments. The position requires a proactive, adaptable individual who champions continuous improvement and leverages insights, including emerging technologies like robotics and machine learning, to enhance payment assurance outcomes and customer experience.

A bit about you

If you are the ideal candidate for the role, you will have experience in the telecommunications or large infrastructure sector, with strong business and commercial acumen to support decision-making. You’ll bring technical expertise in claim and quality validation, particularly in end-user and network installation activities, and be proficient in Microsoft Office and enterprise systems.

You’ll be a strong communicator, both written and verbal, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You thrive in dynamic environments, take ownership of your work, and are committed to continuous improvement and collaboration across teams.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
